This week we talk all about transparency with Libby Watson, a staff writer at the Sunlight Foundation. We answer all the important questions, like why transparency is important in a democracy, what an LLC is and how it can hide contributions, and what sticky toffee pudding is.

We're replaying one of our favorite podcasts this week -- the one where we were still a little sleep deprived from getting out the vote and winning big last november.

In August, Every Voice Chief of Staff Rahna Epting came on the show to talk about the newly released Fight Big Money agenda for the presidential race. A lot has happened since August, so we invited her back to check in on what the candidates are doing and saying about money in politics, and what we can expect from candidates going forward into the general. Plus -- Rahna's weird pregnancy cravings.

The new season of House of Cards dropped last week, and we brought on expert and super fan Ben Donnelly-Fine to talk about what happened this season, how money comes into play in the House of Cards-verse and our own, and whether the popularity of House of Cards makes people more or less cynical about politics. SPOILERS AHEAD!

Our democracy needs a serious wake up call. Luckily, our two guests, Rio Tazewell of People for the American Way and Courtney Fuller of Public Citizen, are organizing a giant alarm clock. They talk to us about the Democracy Awakening, a three-day event of protests, marches, direct action, teach ins, art, inspiration, and more, all to get Congress and state houses across the country to expand voting rights, fight big money, and make sure government works for all of us. Get on a bus and we'll see you in April!
